Functional Area :
  • Reporting to the Group Managing Director.
  • To control and coordinate all commercial activities within Gulftainer and outside agencies as and when directed by Group Managing Director.

Job Description / Responsibilities :
  • Liaison with shipping lines and other customers as well as local and international activities.
  • To seek and assess future business and business opportunities.
  • To represent the company locally and internationally with visitors, other businesses and government organizations.
  • To contribute to policy on future activity, company literature preparation, press releases and advertisement policy, website monitoring and updating.
  • To liaise with other group companies to ensure clarity of direction and to seek greater efficiencies.
  • To ensure strong collaboration within the team at all times to provide and maintain an accurate and timely flow of information.
  • To provide technical support to business and carry out relevant research program.
  • To prepare and presentation of reports and analysis.
  • Presence at industry functions as appropriate.

Education : Preferably : Degree / Masters in Marketing OR other appropriate qualification in Business Marketing.
Experience :
  • Minimum 10 years.
  • ESSENTIAL : GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTAINER SHIPPING INDUSTRY, CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN A MULTI-CULTURAL AND INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT, EXCELLENT PRESENTATION AND INTER PERSONAL SKILLS, FLEXIBLE CONSTRUCTIVE AND INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO BUSINESSES.
  • DESIRABLE : EXPERIENCE OF LIVING OVERSEAS (PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MIDDLE EAST ENVIRONMENT AND BUSINESS WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE).
Other Requirements :
  • Age: 35 - 50 Years
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent man-management, organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure and use initiative in problem solving.
  • Computer literate and familiar with typical office applications including database applications.
