Gulftainer warehousing depot in business
Gulftainer have announced that its new warehousing depot, conveniently situated on the outskirts of Sharjah and on the Dubai border, near the Emirates and 'Outer Ring' roads - is now open for business.
Virtually all of the first phase of the 11 x 8000 and 6000 square feet warehouses, has been snapped up by customers eager to take advantage of the easy access location next to the well established Sharjah ICD (SICD) linked with Khorfakkan and Sharjah Container Terminals.
The site is also ideally situated away from the major infrastructure bottle necks in the UAE and offers close access to the developing industrial sites and all the major centres within the UAE.
Peter Richards, Gulftainer director and general manager commented
'The opening of the SICD nearly three years ago prompted large numbers of consignees and shippers to re-assess their transportation needs and it soon became clear in conversations with them that many were also looking for more cost effective and accessible locations for their warehousing activities."
"We decided to provide these facilities where our ICD is located and I am delighted that the response has been very positive for the initial phase. We are now assessing the options for Phase 2'.
