Since Gulftainer’s early days the concept of making investment perform well - within strict budgetary guidelines - has been a priority. Gulftainer is a UAE (Sharjah) company, independent and not affiliated to any line or organisation. It is therefore able to make recommendations and proposals based purely on their merits untainted by the need to fit in with vested interest agendas.
Gulftainer, as a UAE company is steeped in the culture and background of this region with a consequent understanding and appreciation of the needs and requirements of customers in this part of the world.
Over 28 years of dealing with governments and local authorities in the region has given Gulftainer a unique perspective and understanding of how to achieve the best results in the most effective way. With deep roots in the area, Gulftainer is no ‘here today gone tomorrow’ fair-weather partner.
The company is big enough to make a difference - small enough to have senior managers directly involved in all issues.
The international reputation of Khorfakkan and Sharjah container terminals, despite powerful local competition, is clear evidence of the success of this policy.
Many port authorities in the Middle East/ South Asia regions and beyond have sought Gulftainer’s expertise and at present the company is involved as:
- Main consultants to the Kuwait Port Authority. A Gulftainer team is based in Kuwait.
- Operators and managers of the ports of Moroni (since end 2006) and Mutsamudu (w.e.f. 2008) as appointed by the Government of Comoros in September 2006. Gulftainer personnel are based in the Comoros.
Discussions are also in progress with several other terminals and Port Authorities all of whom have come to Gulftainer precisely because of this well deserved reputation for achieving good performance and working co-operatively for long term solutions and mutual benefit.
