 Khorfakkan achieves 279 moves per hour with 'CMA CGM Pelleas'.
Terminal's new gantries speed up already impressive performance.

The Gulftainer-operated Port of Khorfakkan in Sharjah truly cemented its position as the number 1 port in the region with regards to productivity on Thursday 9 April 2009. An amazing record-breaking vessel productivity of 279 moves per hour, throughout the entire cargo operation, was achieved on the container vessel CMA CGM Pelleas during her recent call at the port.
Capt. Dag Froehmcke stated that "this is what makes Khorfakkan and Gulftainer so special. We realise that times are hard for our shipping line customers presently, with the global financial crisis, so our aim is to save them money and time where ever we can". And his super-efficient terminal certainly did so.
Director & General Manager of Gulftainer, Peter Richards, said of the achievement: "Dag's team have really proved themselves to be the best this time and I am sure the shipping industry will take note - if you need to save money and time, Sharjah's Ports should be on your schedule.
