In 2010 Gulftainer were awarded the concessions to operate Berth 8 in South Port Umm Qasr and to develop, operate and complete construction of the ‘Iraq Container Terminal' (ICT), (adjacent to the Sugar berth)

• 275 Meters quay length with regular dredging to ensure constant depth

The UQLC, ICD is primarily set up to provide 3pl, 4pl clients the ability to have a staging area in Southern Iraq. The concept of industrial distribution centre with complimentary services. Gulftainer carefully selects clients through joint venture or facility use agreements with the aim to provide a number of options for our end users.
