1. GTL-MTI:
In November 2006 Gulftainer signed an agreement with the Pak Shaheen Group of Pakistan to set up a joint venture company focusing on reinventing inland logistics and cargo transportation in Pakistan.
The intention is to invest in new equipment and systems with the aim of revamping and enhancing inland transportation procedures and services, to and from Karachi, to enable customers to enjoy reliable and time sensitive transport options which up to now have been unavailable.
New vehicles and trailers have been purchased and further expansion will take place as the company establishes itself in the Pakistan market.

2. DEMAS:
On 17th July 2008 Gulftainer Co. Ltd. announced a joint venture with Turkey's Demas International. The new company will focus on Transport and Logistics and there are natural synergies using the complementary nature of the two partners, combining Demas' Turkish expertise in logistics, trucking and warehousing with Gulftainer's Terminal, port, transport operations and longstanding links with various shipping lines worldwide.
The partnership also holds future opportunities making use of these synergies to explore jointly further trucking, logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding and supply chain and inland container depot businesses, both in Turkey and in the wider region, factoring in Gulftainer's international network and contacts with Demas' knowledge and expertise in the wider Turkish market.
This joint venture aims to develop and flourish in Turkey - which is rapidly developing as a natural powerhouse and an essential link between Europe, the Middle East and the countries of Asia.

3. RUSSIA:

United Arab Emirates based Ports and Logistics group Gulftainer, has signed a major joint venture agreement with Prominvest, the financial and investment arm of Russian State Corporation, Russian Technologies.
The agreement was signed on 17th September 2010 in the Black Sea city of Sochi in the Russian Federation between Mr Badr Jafar, Executive Director of the Crescent Group and Vice Chairman of Gulftainer, and Mr Mikhail Shelkov, CEO of Prominvest in the presence of His Excellency Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
The new Joint Venture Company, "Gulftainer Russian Technologies" will pursue investments and management opportunities in the complete logistics chain within the Russian Federation and the rest of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) including strategic port assets and related infrastructure.
