Gulftainer wins ‘Port Terminal Operator Award’ at Seatrade Maritime Awards 2016
Gulftainer has won the prestigious ‘Port Terminal Operator Award,’ at the Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa Awards 2016.
Iain Rawlinson, Group Commercial Director at Gulftainer, received the award on behalf of the company at the award ceremony held at Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai.

Gulftainer was among five other Terminal Operator companies who were nominated for the Port Terminal Operator Award.
Factors considered by the expert panel of judges were quality, tangible examples of innovation, improved efficiency, profitability and successful investment in port operations. Highly regarded in the shipping industry, the award also took into consideration evidence of sustained commitment to customer service, cost and operational efficiency, and an outstanding safety and environmental record. This award also recognizes the container terminal operator that has consistently demonstrated throughput performance, efficient automation systems and other sustainable value-added services to customers.
Now in its fourteenth year, the Seatrade Maritime Awards rewards industry best practices, and gathers together some of the highest profile and senior industry professionals in the shipping and maritime industry.
