Sajaa Rebranded as Sharjah Dry Ports, Achieves Record 150,000 TEUs in a Single Month

Sharjah, UAE – 06 November 2026: Gulftainer, a UAE-based leading global integrated trade infrastructure solutions provider, announced the rebranding of its flagship inland facility in Sajaa to Sharjah Dry Ports (SDP), marking a new chapter in its journey as one of the UAE’s most strategic logistics hubs.

The rebrand reflects the facility’s expanded role as a key gateway for the Northern Emirates, serving manufacturing zones, distribution hubs, and regional trade corridors with seamless last-mile connectivity to Sharjah, Khorfakkan Port, and beyond.

The announcement comes as Sharjah Dry Ports achieves a major operational milestone – handling 150,000 TEUs in a single month, the highest monthly throughput in its history.

Spanning 70 hectares and strategically located just 90 kilometers from Khorfakkan Port, Sharjah Dry Ports offers a fully interlocked yard of 50,000 sqm, 5,000 sqm of modern warehousing, and 30,000 sqm of bulk and container storage, with direct road links to all major UAE ports, future rail connectivity, and port-compatible operations.

Omar Rishi, Global Chief Commercial Officer, Gulftainer, said: “This milestone is more than a number. Handling 150,000 TEUs in a single month demonstrates the resilience, efficiency, and scale of our integrated logistics ecosystem. The evolution from Sajaa to Sharjah Dry Ports (SDP) represents our commitment to engineering the future of trade – where our inland and maritime gateways work as one to bring cargo closer to the customer, faster.”

Originally launched as Gulftainer’s second bonded dry port in December 2025, Sharjah Dry Ports is designed to enable customers to move cargo with greater efficiency and reduced turnaround times, offering bonded storage, cold chain solutions, manufacturing hub access, and direct connectivity to the UAE’s key trade corridors.
