Supply Chain Integration

Inland Container Depots serve as extensions to seaport facilities, strategically located near key transportation links. This allows full integration into the logistics supply chain, providing value-added services such as transportation, storage, general and bonded warehousing, empty handling and container maintenance.

The Sharjah Dry Port has been in operation since 2004 and is situated on the edge of Sharjah, near to the Dubai border. Located between the main trunk roads of the E311 and E611, it provides easy access to Sharjah’s industrial areas and connects smoothly to the Northern Emirates and other industrial centres within the United Arab Emirates.

We manage our inland container depots as integrated one-stop solutions to maximise customer efficiency. Customs facilities and major shipping line agency offices are located on-site, enabling swift processing and clearance of cargo.

Inland Depot Facilities

Our Inland Container Depots are constructed to the highest international standards and offer more than just container storage. Alongside a container storage capacity of 6,000 TEU in Sharjah and 70,000 TEU in Iraq, we provide dedicated reefer points and advanced container handling equipment. This is all controlled by an integrated state-of-the-art computer system which results in quicker delivery times for our customers.

In addition, we have a range of supporting solutions for container and cargo handling including on-site offices, warehousing facilities – both general and bonded, LCL (less than container load) facilities, container stuffing and destuffing, maintenance workshops and container repair services.

By integrating with other services offered by Gulftainer and our logistics solutions provider Momentum, our Inland Container Depots serve as a centralised hub for your shipments allowing smooth delivery of your goods onto their final destination.
