Logistics centres are vital for optimising and scaling supply chains by providing comprehensive infrastructure for transport, logistics, goods distribution and supporting facilities.

Gulftainer has extensive expertise in operating logistics centres, with established facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Sharjah Inland Container Depot spans nearly 140,000 sqm. This self-contained hub features 35 warehouses, bonded customs and health inspection facilities, stripping and stuffing areas, repair facilities, an office park for liner agencies and extensive container storage space.

Also in the United Arab Emirates, the International Logistics Centre at Al Saja’a in Sharjah is under development. This 650,000 sqm facility will feature office parks, distribution centres, trailer parks, housing facilities and other essential services for large-scale projects. Development is set to commence soon.

In Iraq, the company operates the Umm Qasr Logistics Centre, a 750,000 sqm facility north of the port of Umm Qasr. This facility primarily serves the oil, gas, and energy sectors, offering secure and bonded warehousing and storage. With integrated customs and Iraqi Port Authority offices, it provides customers with comprehensive logistics services in one location.
