  • Farid Belbouab - Group Chief Executive Officer

    Farid Belbouab

    Farid Belbouab serves as the Group CEO of Gulftainer. He is a globally experienced executive and entrepreneur with over two decades of leadership in the maritime, logistics, and transportation industries. He is widely recognised for his ability to lead complex transformations, scale businesses across diverse markets, and build organisations rooted in strong culture and people development.

    Throughout his career, Farid has held top leadership roles across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Previously, Farid was the Group CEO of Meratus (Indonesia’s largest integrated maritime and logistics group) and held senior positions within the CMA CGM Group, including Regional Vice President based in Dubai, overseeing the Middle East, East Africa, and the Indian Ocean. He also served as CEO in several countries, including Indonesia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Horn of Africa, where he consistently delivered operational turnarounds, market share growth, and long-term value creation.

    Educated at Sorbonne University in Paris, with postgraduate degrees in international transportation and business law, Farid is also an alumnus of INSEAD and Harvard Business School executive programmes.

  • Arvind Giri - Chief Financial Officer

    Arvind GIRI CFO Arvind is responsible for spearheading the financial strategy for the Group.

    A seasoned Corporate Finance professional with 23 years of experience, Arvind has worked across multiple sectors, including Oil and Gas, Environmental services, Textiles, and Consulting in varied finance leadership roles.

    He has successfully led M&A deals and raised capital for numerous large and mid-size projects in the UK, South Asia, Middle East, and Africa. This includes many award-winning deals of multibillion-dollar magnitude for large infrastructure projects.

    In his previous role at Averda Group, Arvind held an overall responsibility of partnering growth and managing capital structure and Cairn India Holdings-UK, wherein he was also an Executive Director on the Board of the company.

    Arvind holds a Masters degree in Finance and Control, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Treasury & International Finance.
  • Daniel Wright - Group Chief Operating Officer

    Daniel Wright Group COO

    Daniel Wright is a senior leader with over 30 years of experience in global supply chain and logistics, specialising in ports and container terminals worldwide.

    Currently serving as Group Chief Operating Officer at Gulftainer, he is responsible for driving operational growth across the company’s international portfolio of ports and terminals. Since joining Gulftainer in 2012 as Terminal Manager, Daniel has held key senior roles, including Managing Director of Gulftainer UAE and Director of Operations Support.

    His career began in the UK at Royal Mail, and in 2008, he transitioned to Hutchison Port Holdings at the Port of Felixstowe, where he took on an operational management role.

  • David Westmoreland - General Counsel

    David Westmoreland - General CounselDavid Westmoreland is a General Counsel at Gulftainer, highly accomplished legal professional with a wealth of experience spanning over 17 years. As a United Kingdom qualified lawyer, he has consistently delivered commercially pragmatic legal advice to prestigious companies, including FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 firms, across diverse regions such as the UK, Middle East, Asia and the US.

    Prior to his current capacity, David played a pivotal role at Ball Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, where he served as the head of the legal function for the Middle East and Asia region. He also held key positions in the regional leadership team and served as a board member for various joint ventures. His strategic insights and leadership have been instrumental in driving success for the organisations he has been a part of.

    David is a graduate of Exeter University and has also participated in executive programmes at Ball Corporation, Deloitte and Sidley Austin LLP.

    June Dowling

    June Dowling serves as the Director of Human Resources at Gulftainer. In this role, she is responsible for fostering a supportive and empowering work environment, guiding and coaching employees and leaders to help them grow and succeed.

    With 30 years of experience in human resources, June brings broad functional expertise across multiple business environments, from established corporate settings to start-ups. Prior to joining Gulftainer, she held leadership positions in various organisations and her experience has spanned the globe from the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

    Passionate about people, June helps teams navigate challenges and build a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Her niche lies in growing and transforming organisations and the people who make it all happen.   • Daniel Caton - Managing Director of Momentum Logistics

    Daniel Caton

    Daniel is an international logistics and supply chain specialist with over two decades of experience in operational and commercial management roles for leading third-party logistics providers in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He serves as the Managing Director of Momentum Logistics, a subsidiary of Gulftainer, with financial and operational responsibility for the groups logistics facilities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, tasked with providing integrated logistics solutions for leading international clients.

    He started his career in London, United Kingdom in the courier logistics industry before moving to the Middle East in 2010 with Kuehne + Nagel to design, implement and operate regional distribution centres in United Arab Emirates for Johnson & Johnson and Carrefour.

    In 2014, he moved to Saudi Arabia to launch the maintenance materials and chemical warehouse for Saudi Aramco & TotalEnergies JV at one of the world’s most advanced petrochemical refineries. He returned to the United Arab Emirates to focus on the commercial aspect of logistics, developing and executing supply chain solutions for Barloworld Logistics in the Middle East and Southern Africa, before leading as General Manager from 2018. Since then, he expanded the business, establishing and growing freight and logistics operations in four countries in East Africa.

  • Vinay Sharma - Director Information Technology

    vinayVinay Sharma is the Director of Information Technology for Gulftainer, responsible for spearheading the technology strategy for the group.

    With over 25 years of experience in technology strategy development and execution, he has built innovative technology-enabled solutions and platforms, implemented process automation, and fostered a culture of technological excellence.

    Prior to his current role, Vinay served as an IT Director, where he gained vast experience in various business verticals of the global supply chain, manufacturing, contracting, and distribution. Vinay holds a master’s degree in computer science, an Executive MBA from SP Jain School of Global Management, and has completed various executive programs in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and corporate governance.

    He is actively involved in various forums, including CIO associations, and is a member of ports and logistics industry-focused groups.
